SOMETIME ITS OK TO BRAG
I am not one to talk extensively about my design work. In fact I am almost shy about highlighting my design work, it feels like am bragging. However, in this instance I am honoured and appreciative to have my design work featured:
My (first) online portfolio was easily created by https://www.artistrunwebsite.com. The platform was created by a former student of mine (at Emily Carr University), Eric Deis, who saw a missing service gap for artists. Many artists want to focus solely on making art and don't want to deal with marketing their work and while recognizing the necessity to do so, many found the existing cloud-based web development platforms time consuming and frustrating. Eric identified the need to fill a missing gap and created a platform for artists to easily showcase their work. While their are many cloud-based web development platforms, they do require an investment of time and are not always intuitive. Artistrunwebsite allows one to have their portfolio and blog up and running in 30 minutes (for an economical monthly fee)—30 minutes is time well spent. So go ahead and make art knowing you can brag about it online with ease.
