Artist Statement

My work explores the themes of beauty, memory, and time.

Memories document moments — a blend of vivid recollections, hazy impressions, and intangible emotions. These qualities are illustrated through the merging of photo transfer, alcohol inks, and graphite with resin. The smooth, glass-like surface of the resin encapsulates each piece, preserving a moment and suspending it in time. Within the circular forms, the alcohol inks spread and blend unpredictably, evoking the organic flow of memory. The circles are placed spontaneously yet thoughtfully throughout the composition; they serve to juxtapose the rigidity of the square, creating a dynamic yet calming effect through the repetition of form and contrast of scale.

This work invites the viewer to reflect on how we recall, reinterpret, and reshape the past. Just as the materials interact to create unpredictable yet harmonious compositions, so do our memories.
