Chairlift Stories

Chairlift Stories is a tribute to my deep love of skiing and snowboarding—and to the mountain, which has always been my happy place. The title Chairlift Stories comes from one of the most unique parts of the mountain experience: the brief, chance encounters that happen on the ride up. In those short 5–8 minutes, you’re seated next to a stranger, and sometimes, without warning, they share a piece of their life. A funny moment. A quiet heartbreak. A piece of wisdom. These fleeting conversations—unexpected, unscripted, and often unforgettable—capture a kind of honesty rarely found elsewhere.

This series celebrates those small but meaningful connections, the kind that can only happen high above the trees, between strangers brought together by a shared love of snow and mountain air.
